We are Ziba Jafari and Freek Lannoo, embarking on a journey through Lombardy, Italy. We begin at the same point, each taking our own path. After a week apart, our paths converge once more. The things we’ve seen and experienced will first be shared with each other, and then with you. This will take place in an exhibition in Bergamo, at the Crocicchio Art Space.

It’s special that we’re not together, far from our homeland of Belgium, yet still very close to each other.

We’re doing this to observe how a different environment and being alone influence our perspectives. Our familiar studio becomes a backpack, and the new surroundings become our material.
